Yesterday, not only did R&B veteran Monica celebrate her 31st birthday, she premiered the second visual fro her New Life album on BET’s 106 & Park. “Until It’s Gone” is the title of the Diane Martel-directed video, which stars Malinda Williams (Soul Food, First Sunday) and Brian White (Motives 2, Stomp The Yard).
In the video, tragedy strikes in the form of a fatal car accident, making one realize the importance of another’s presence. Unfortunately, it’s too late.
C Tha God, one-third of Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club, sits with VLAD TV to weigh in on the lightweight beef between Jay-Z and Lil’ Wayne, comparing the latter to an AND1 basketball player because of his flashy rhymes and hype, but lack of technique…especially in comparison to Hov.
The quarrel began as a jab from Birdman (“Baby”), who’d always claim that his “Junior” a.k.a. Wayne was better than Hov and that the two were wealthier than him as well. Jay-Z, being a man of many words on wax, jabbed back on “H.A.M.” saying “I’m like really half a billi ni**a, really you got baby…Keep it real with ni**as, ni**as ain’t got my lady money“.
C Tha God says Hov’s sentiments were factual, shifting back to what he said on technique, while Lil’ Wayne’s “wreckless” rhymes were more suitable of an AND1 player…no facts, just aimless rambling.
“They don’t have Beyoncé money!” C exclaims.

Moments ago, BET’s 106 & Park previewed Beyoncé’s new video for “Party.” In the video, Bey hits up a motel with Solange and Kelly Rowland to throw a pool party similar to the ones seen in 90’s hood movies or a Khia video. J. Cole, who isn’t a major factor on the song, makes a cameo.

Justin Bieber premiered “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on a Open Fire),” the second single from his holiday album Under the Mistletoe, on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. It features R&B superstar Usher, Bieber’s mentor.

Waka Flocka Flame celebrated the success of club-approved singles “Round of Applause” and “Grove St. Party” at Club Glow in Atlanta. He commemorated the event by tossing $1’s to the “turnt-up” crowd and serving alcohol to the “gator mouth” girls.

Epic Records jumped at the chance to sign “swag pop” duo Karmin after their covers of Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Wayne’s songs went viral.
Before debuting their new single “Crash Your Party,” the duo spoke directly to their fans.
“You can live out your dream, basically by the internet,” Amy Heidemann expresses. Her husband Nick Noonan continues with, “we’re trying not to be corny as much as possible, but honestly, without you people – this would not be possible.”

Last week, DJ Premier claimed Justin Bieber wasn’t allowed entrance in the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards cyper because he wanted Ludacris to pen his bars. According to the Atlanta rapper, he knows of no such thing.

“My Lil homie @justinbieber loves hip hop & at no point was I supposed to write his cipher flow. #getyafactsright.”
Soon after, DJ Premier got his facts right. He posted on Twitter:
Thursday night, Michael Jackson’s 13-year-old daughter Paris stood front row with friends at Chris Brown’s “F.A.M.E. Tour” concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. She eventually joined the “Beautiful People” singer on stage and later tweeted him saying “@ChrisBrown AMAZING Show Tonight!! You Were Outstanding!!<3 … blew my MIND!!!! i was in the front & it was just like, mind-blowing!!!”.
T.I. returned home to Cedar Ave in Bankhead to film the video for “I’m Flexin’,” his comeback single featuring Big K.R.I.T.. The Kang coasted in a drop-top, candy red “Heavy Chevy” Chevelle, while the Motion Family directors captured the official footage.
Grand Hustle CEO Jason Geter revealed that K.R.I.T. was on set a day prior to film his portion of the video. Grind Hard Daily was on set to give viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the “Flexin’” video.
